Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens is off US 202 Devon/Valley Forge Rd. exit, .6 mi. s. on N. Valley Forge Rd. (which becomes Devon State Rd.), then .3 mi. w. to 631 Berwyn Baptist Rd. Azaleas, rhododendrons and wildflowers dominate the grounds of this 48-acre botanical garden, which include 1 mile of paved pathways lined with signs and labels informing visitors about the plants and ongoing ecological projects.
Animal residents include flying squirrels, foxes, green herons, kingfishers, owls, red-tailed hawks, turtles and more than 100 other bird species. A self-guiding map of the grounds is available in the John J. Willaman Education & Visitors Center. Educational activities are held and special exhibitions are on display throughout the year.
Garden paths are not wheelchair accessible. Pets are not permitted.
