AAA Editor Notes
National Shrine of St. John Neumann, 1019 N. 5th St. at jct. Girard Ave., is dedicated to the life and canonization of Philadelphia's fourth Catholic bishop. Featured are stained-glass windows depicting his life and a glass altar containing his remains. A museum includes portraits, relics and personal items.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.

Shrine Mon.-Fri. 7 a.m.-6 p.m. (also Tues.-Thurs. 6-8 p.m.), Sat. 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Sun. 7-4:30. Museum open by advance request Mon.-Fri. 1:45-4:15, Sat. 11-4. Self-guiding cellphone tours are available. Guided tours are available by appointment (require a minimum of 10 participants). Closed major holidays and during services. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
