Thaddeus Kosciuszko National Memorial, 3rd and Pine sts., presents exhibits and audiovisual displays in English and Polish describing military engineer Thaddeus Kosciuszko's career in Poland as well as his contributions to the American Revolution. He rented a room in this boarding house 1797-98 after his exile from his native Poland. He was recovering from battle wounds and received many visitors, including Vice President Thomas Jefferson and Chief Little Turtle of the Miami tribe.

The exterior of the house has been restored and the interior is furnished in period. Military artifacts, books and paintings are on display; some are on loan from museums in Poland.
