AAA Editor Notes
Carnegie Science Center is at 1 Allegheny Ave. on the North Shore next to Acrisure Stadium and is part of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh. There are hundreds of hands-on exhibits covering the science of space flight, geology, physics, biology and energy; there are three live demonstration theaters, a laser show display and an authentic Cold War-era submarine. Temporary exhibits also are presented. Documentaries, concert and event films, and themed screenings are shown in the Rangos Giant Cinema.

Buhl Planetarium offers high-definition, full-dome planetarium experiences. Model railroads and village scenes depicting turn-of-the-20th-century western Pennsylvania are displayed at the Miniature Railroad & Village®.

SpacePlace includes the Sun, Earth, Universe interactive exhibition, and walk-in replicas of two modules of the International Space Station. H2Oh! explores the science of water and how rivers create the habitats of the Pittsburgh region. BodyWorks describes the workings of the human body. Highmark SportsWorks® features a ropes challenge, a zip line, a climbing wall and sports challenges.
