Drake Well Museum is at 202 Museum Ln. The museum marks the spot where Edwin Drake drilled the world's first commercially successful oil well in 1859. Photographs and outdoor working oil field equipment trace the evolution of the modern petroleum industry. The exhibit “There's a Drop of Oil and Gas in Your Life Every Day” features a multisensory orientation theater. A replica of Drake's well, an operating oil lease with pump jacks and a steel drilling rig and pumping jacks are also on display.

A 10-mile paved bicycle trail and 52 miles of hiking trails connect Drake Well and Oil Creek State Park.
