Eckley Miners' Village

Eckley Miners' Village is off SR 940, following signs. This living-history museum is a 19th-century anthracite mining village with approximately 50 buildings. Exhibits, pictures and a 17-minute video presentation shown in the visitor center depict the lives of miners and their families. Some houses not open to the public are occupied by descendants of miners. Special events are offered and include Haunted Halloween Lantern Tours and Christmas at Eckley.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
