AAA Editor Notes
Rupp House History Center, 451 Baltimore St., is the former home of the Rupp family, who hid in their cellar during the battle at Gettysburg. Due to damage caused by Union and Confederate soldiers during the battle, the house was rebuilt in 1868. Exhibits focus on civilian life during the Civil War and the lives of soldiers who fought in the Gettysburg area. Exhibits feature interactive elements, and the museum hosts several living history events.
