Fort Ligonier

Fort Ligonier, US 30 and SR 711 at 200 S. Market St., is a full-scale, on-site reconstruction and restoration of a British fort built in 1758. The fort, a stronghold during the French and Indian War, contains a fascine cannon battery with reproduced British artillery pieces. A museum includes The French and Indian War Art Gallery of Original Art and an in-depth exhibit entitled The World Ablaze: An Introduction to the Seven Years’ War, which features more than 200 original items that were acquired from a variety of countries.
