Beauharnois Generating Station

Beauharnois Generating Station (Centrale Hydroelectrique de Beauharnois) is 10 km (6.5 mi.) w. on Rte. 132 at 80 rue Edgar-Hebert in the sector of Melocheville. The facility is one of the world's largest hydroelectric power stations. Exhibits are on display in the interpretation center. The 90-minute guided tour includes a chance to view the 38 turbine generating units in the 1-kilometre (.6-mi.) building.

Note: Photo ID is required for visitors ages 18+. Visitors with pacemakers are not permitted on certain parts of the tour.
