AAA Editor Notes
Île Notre-Dame (Notre Dame Island) is next to Île Ste-Hélène in the St. Lawrence River (M: Jean-Drapeau) and both islands together form Jean-Drapeau Park (Parc Jean-Drapeau). Summer facilities include a floral park, a beach, outdoor pools, a climbing wall, fitness stations and an in-line skating and bicycling path on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit, except in early June, when the Canadian Grand Prix takes place here. Winter offerings are a long ice-skating path and cross-country ski trails.

From the last week of January to the middle of February, the more than 125 activities and exhibits of the Fête des Neiges, or “Snow Festival,” include ice sculptures, dog sledding, winter slides, animation and shows.

Time: Allow 4 hours minimum.
