BMO Financial Group Museum

BMO Financial Group Museum (Musée de BMO Groupe financier) is at 129 rue St-Jacques (M: Place d'Armes), adjacent to the BMO Bank of Montréal's main branch—an impressive neoclassic structure built in 1847—and the corporation's head office. Paraphernalia related to banking, including old coins, paper bills and checks, is on display within a re-creation of an early 19th-century cashier's office. A collection of mechanical piggy banks is featured, along with photographs and other items chronicling the history of Canada's oldest banking institution.
