AAA Editor Notes
Île Ste-Hélène (St. Helen's Island) is in the middle of the St. Lawrence River and reached via the Jacques-Cartier Bridge or the Concorde Bridge from the Cité du Havre (M: Jean-Drapeau). It can also be reached by the Navettes Maritimes du Saint-Laurent (Maritime Shuttles of the St. Lawrence), which departs from Montréal and Longueuil. Together with Île Notre-Dame, the two islands make up Jean-Drapeau Park (Parc Jean-Drapeau). Visitors can walk or bike (rentals are available at the Métro station) past sculptures and buildings from Expo 67, a rose garden and historic sites such as an 1822 powder magazine and a military cemetery.

In the center of the island is St. Helen's Island Park (Parc de l'Isle Ste.-Hélène), a landscaped area with picnic facilities; on the east end is the amusement park La Ronde.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 4 hours minimum.
