Fort Ingall is 2 km (1.2 mi.) n. of Hwy. 185 at 81 ch. Caldwell (Hwy. 232). The original of this reconstructed fort on the shores of lac Témiscouata, built in 1839 to protect the vital portage between Québec and Halifax, Nova Scotia, was occupied during the border conflict between Maine and Canada.

Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
