Tatanka: Story of the Bison

Tatanka: Story of the Bison is 1 mi. n. on US 85 to 100 Tatanka Dr. An interpretive center includes exhibits depicting the relationship of bison to the Lakota People in the 1800s. There is a full Native American village on-site and visitors can learn about the tribe’s culture and how it has changed as a result of Euro-American influence. Seventeen large bronze sculptures depict the buffalo jump.
