The Pump House

This former industrial pump house on the Catawba River now houses a multi-level dining room, complete with a rooftop bar and deck that's open for dinner and on weekends. Enjoy terrific views from the main dining room or from the year-round deck, both on the third level. The seasonally changing menu features Southern-accented fare, like brined pork chops and shrimp and grits, as well as chef-driven dishes like tea-brined chicken and pan-seared scallops. At lunch, a few entrées join salads and sandwiches, which include a fried chicken sandwich and steak burger. Sunday brunch features omelets, Benedicts, steak and eggs, chicken and waffles, and more. A dozen taps at the bar are split between North and South Carolina beers. Craft cocktails are a specialty, and the wine list is extensive.
