Children’s Museum of South Dakota

Children’s Museum of South Dakota is at 521 4th St. The museum promotes learning for kids of all ages through interactive hands-on exhibits and educational opportunities to explore and discover. Kids can learn about the properties of water in the splash room, or play with the Oscar Café's cash register and mock sandwich fixings. Other fun activities include shopping at the grocery store, producing a play or newscast live at the studio, working out at the gym, learning about building and construction and clambering up the Cloud Climber.

There also is an art studio where kids can work on their own projects. Nestled on a 4-acre prairie, the museum's outdoor space features such amusements as a full-size animatronic T Rex and its baby, a prairie grass maze, tunnels to climb though, a stream to explore, an adult-size bird's nest and a fishing pond.

No more than 5 children admitted per adult.

Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
