Days of '76 Museum is at 18 Seventy Six Dr. The museum showcases the Days of '76 Celebration, which began in 1924 as a way to pay homage to Deadwood's early residents who came to strike gold in the Black Hills; it has since grown into an annual event with a parade and rodeo. The museum features displays of carriages, firearms and rare Native American artifacts as well as exhibits illustrating Deadwood's enduring friendship with Buffalo Bill Cody.
