Waubay National Wildlife Refuge

Waubay National Wildlife Refuge is 1 mi. e. on US 12, then 7 mi. n. on CR 1, then 1.5 mi. w. to 44401 134A St. Home to many species of birds and mammals, the refuge contains 4,649 acres of lakes, marshes, woodlands and grasslands. An observation tower affords scenic views of the area. Interactive displays are offered at the visitor center. Interpretive hiking trails provide opportunities to observe wildlife.
