Historic Homesteads Tower Museum is 4 mi. s. on US 127 at jct. US 127 and SR 68. The museum is in a stone tower built 1937-38 as the administrative offices for the Roosevelt-era Cumberland Homesteads project. More than 250 families participated in the “Showplace of the New Deal.” The museum contains photographs, documents and items from the 1930s and '40s. Some of the original homesteads can be seen from the tower; one homestead is open to the public, the Historic Homesteads House Museum.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.

$4; $1 (ages 6-12). Combination ticket with Historic Homesteads House Museum $5; $2 (ages 6-12).
Mon.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. 1-5. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
