Falcon State Park is 4 mi. s. on US 83, then about 5 mi. w. on FM 2098 to Park Rd. 46. Three miles of hiking and mountain biking trails make a complete loop around the park, and within the park is Falcon Lake, a popular fishing site. Nearby Falcon Dam, a 5-mile-long earth- and rock-filled dam on the Rio Grande, is a combined effort of the United States and Mexico. Simple metal shafts bearing the seals of both countries mark the international boundary.
