Moody Gardens is off I-45 exit 1A, 2 mi. s. to Seawall Blvd., 1.5 mi. w. to 81st St., then 10 mi. n. to 1 Hope Blvd. Three glass pyramids are the centerpiece of this 242-acre resort complex, which features beaches; paddle-wheel boat rides; the MG 3D, Audience Recognition and 4D Special FX theaters; a ropes and zipline course; and a convention center.

The Aquarium at Moody Gardens is home to seals, penguins, sharks and other marine life from the oceans of the South Atlantic, North and South Pacific and Caribbean. The Rainforest Pyramid has streams, waterfalls, a Mayan colonnade, exotic plants, tropical fish and free-roaming monkeys and birds of the rain forests of Africa, Asia and the Americas. The Discovery Pyramid explores the world of science and features the interactive Audience Recognition Theater as well as the Discovery Museum which features roving exhibits throughout the year.

In the summer, Palm Beach offers a lazy river, a wave pool, waterslides, interactive splash areas and a white sand beach.
