Buffalo Bayou Park

Buffalo Bayou Park spans from Shepherd Dr. to Sabine St. between Memorial Dr. and Allen Pkwy. This 160-acre green space surrounding Buffalo Bayou offers hiking and biking trails with views of the Houston skyline, public artworks, a fountain, a nature play area and a dog park. The Waugh Drive Bridge crossing Buffalo Bayou is home to a large colony of Mexican free-tailed bats that can be viewed each evening as they emerge from beneath the bridge to feed on insects.
