Lubbock Lake Landmark

Lubbock Lake Landmark is n. on University Ave. to Loop 289, then w. to Lubbock Lake exit. This archeological and natural history preserve is on more than 300 acres and contains evidence of 12,000 years of continuous human occupation. An interpretive center features artifacts, dioramas and interactive exhibits. Four miles of nature trails wind through a shortgrass prairie landscape.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
