Starr Family State Historic Site

Starr Family State Historic Site is at 407 W. Travis St. This two-story, wood-sided house was built in 1870 by James Franklin Starr, the son of former Republic of Texas treasurer, Dr. James Harper Starr. Expanded and altered during the 115 years the family occupied it, the house and its furnishings reflect the development of Texas.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
