Port Isabel Historical Museum

Port Isabel Historical Museum is opposite the lighthouse at 317 Railroad Ave. in the Champion Bldg. in the Museums of Port Isabel complex. The museum, which includes a multilevel exhibit area and a theater, commemorates the history of the Port Isabel area. Displays depict Native American culture, Spanish exploration, the Mexican War, the Civil War, fishing and maritime history and border folklore. American, Mexican and Texas history also are highlighted.
