Stones River National Cemetery occupies 20 acres of the Stones River National Battlefield in Murfreesboro; a visitor center is across the road from the cemetery. Containing the remains of more than 6,100 Union troops (2,562 of them are unidentified) killed at Stones River and other nearby battlefields, the graveyard was established in 1865.

Cemetery daily dawn-dusk. Visitor center daily 8-5; closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
