Other downtown hotels have a rooftop pool, but here I can see the entire skyline - and the bar makes it a hangout, not just a place to dip my toes.

Rooms at this industrial-chic hotel have cement floors, lush beds, and local artwork. The rooftop pool, yoga classes and gym passes let you stay on your game. Free self parking Sunday-Thursday only. Guests have privileges at the gym in the adjoining apartments, but most people come here for the gritty but interesting neighborhood or for the extremely popular rooftop bar. Expect it to get lively on the weekends. For the best views of downtown and the best light, ask for a room ending in 18. Friday and Saturday valet parking only.
