The Heritage Society

The Heritage Society is at 1100 Bagby St. in Sam Houston Park. This outdoor museum features 10 historic buildings, a general store and a museum gallery. Buildings include the 1847 Kellum-Noble House, believed to be Houston's oldest brick house; the San Felipe Cottage, a German immigrant cottage of the 1860s; and the 1823 Old Place, a rough-hewn wooden frame cabin originally built on the banks of Clear Creek. Cell phone tours are available.
