U.S. Army Medical Department Museum

U.S. Army Medical Department Museum is in Bldg. 1046 at the corner of Harry Wurzbach and Stanley rds. at Fort Sam Houston. Beginning with the Revolutionary War, exhibits trace the history of the U.S. Army medical department through uniforms, U.S. Army and enemy medical equipment, POW memorabilia, photographs, scale models and emergency medical vehicles including aircraft and a fully restored ambulance train car.

Note: Visitors must enter through a visitors center and have a photo ID, proof of insurance and vehicle registration.

Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
