Joseph Smith Memorial Building

Joseph Smith Memorial Building is at 52 N. Main St. Named for the first president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the renovated building, a hotel from 1911 to 1987, contains a genealogy center and such decorative features as marble columns, art glass and an elegant staircase. Gardens surround the building. A 70-minute film about Smith's life is shown in a 500-seat theater.
