AAA Editor Notes
Fort Douglas Military Museum, 32 Potter St., has displays about Utah and U.S. military history. Exhibits include military uniforms dating from 1858 through Operation Iraqi Freedom as well as tanks. Key events relating to the fort's history are depicted in the stained-glass window panels. Artillery pieces are on display in the Cannon Park. The centerpiece of the Utah Fallen Warrior Memorial is a 9,000-pound concrete slab from an underground slurry wall that kept the Hudson River from flooding Ground Zero on Sept. 11.

Note: Exhibit work is ongoing in the museum.
