Zion Human History Museum is on SR 9, .5 mi. n. of the south entrance to Zion National Park. This small museum was the park's main visitor center before the current visitor center at the park's southern boundary was built. Inside are panels describing the canyon's human history; a few historic items are also on display.
A 22-minute orientation film shown every half-hour introduces visitors to the park, explaining its geological origins and human history. Exhibits focus on early pioneers and Native Americans.
