AAA Inspector Notes
This Greek Revival home built in 1801 is a historian's dream set on a working plantation complete with Civil war trenches throughout the grounds from when the home was occupied by Union troops. The large guest rooms are decorated with antiques that have been in the home for more than two centuries, including General Sheridan's desk and impressive four-poster beds. The bathrooms are snug, as they have been fit into former closets but, with the showers separated from the sink, they are very convenient. Ridgely is a warm Southern host and a descendant of the Copeland, Ruffin and Harrison families that shaped the history of the area. Smoke free premises. 4 units, some two bedrooms. 2 stories (no elevator), interior corridors.
