Skyline Caverns are on US 340, approximately 1 mi. s. of the entrance to Skyline Drive and 1.5 mi. s. of jct. SR 55. The caverns contain calcite crystal formations known as anthodites, or cave flowers, found in few caves worldwide. Subterranean streams and cascades are of interest. Indirect illumination is provided. Also offered are the Enchanted Dragon Mirror Maze and a .5-mile tour of the grounds aboard a miniature train (weather permitting).
Guided cavern tours are given every 15-20 minutes daily 9-6, mid-June through Labor Day; Mon.-Fri. 9-5, Sat.-Sun. 9-6, mid-Mar. to mid-June and day after Labor Day to mid-Nov.; daily 9-4, rest of year.
