Riverfront Canal Cruises

Riverfront Canal Cruises is at 139 Virginia St. (on the Canal Walk at 14th and Dock sts.). These narrated cruises of the James River and Kanawha Canal highlight Richmond's canal system, which dates to 1789, and the development of Richmond's waterfront. Many historic sites can be seen during the 40-minute narrated sightseeing excursion, which also offers glimpses of the city skyline; the floodwall and lock systems; and local wildlife, including egrets, great blue herons and turtles.
