Government Palace (Palacio de Gobierno) is on the e. side of Plaza Juárez. Ornate fountains face this long, pink, colonial-style building, which serves as the state capitol. Inside are murals by José Chávez Morado, including “Liberation,” which depicts humanity's struggle for freedom.
