Old First Church

Old First Church (Congregational) is at Monument Ave. and Church Ln. in Old Bennington Village. The church organization, dating from 1762, is said to be the oldest faith community in Vermont. Built 1805-06, the church building is regarded as one of the more beautiful in New England. The restored building features vaulted ceilings of plaster and wood as well as historic box pews.
