Park at Bothell Landing is off SR 522 at 9919 N.E. 180th St. The city's major recreation facility fronts the Sammamish River. A pedestrian bridge spans the shallow river (more a stream at this point) and connects with the Sammamish River Trail, a 10-mile paved path running east to Redmond and west to Seattle's Burke-Gilman Trail, on the opposite bank. Walkers, joggers and cyclists share the stretch of trail with chickens and ducks.

The park has several historical sites. The Beckstrom Log Cabin, a hand-hewn log structure dating back to 1884, once housed a family of 10 and contains pioneer-era tools. The Bothell Historical Museum occupies the 1893 William Hannan House, which is filled with period furniture. Just behind the museum is Bothell's First Schoolhouse; the single room, complete with vintage desks and a pot-bellied stove, served grades 1-8. The school's bell tower stands nearby.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
