AAA Editor Notes
Rialto Beach, in Olympic National Park, is 14 mi. w. of Forks off SR 110 to Mora Road, following signs. Piles of sun-bleached driftwood lie in twisted heaps on this beach, with huge logs at the extreme high tide line. Climb past the logs and you’ll be treated to scenic views of rough surf and sea stacks—giant rock pinnacles with stunted trees growing from their tops—that rise 50 feet or more above the water.

A 1.5-mile hike north along the beach leads to Hole-in-the-Wall, a rocky arch carved by the sea. Check tide tables before visiting, as low tide provides the best opportunity for viewing tide-pool critters and the rocky arch.

Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
