Lake Union Park is at 860 Terry Ave. N. An urban green space that highlights the maritime history of the Pacific Northwest, this 12-acre park lies at the southern end of Lake Union. Features include a restored shoreline and salmon habitat, a beach for canoe or kayak launching and a model boat pond. A pedestrian bridge spans Central Cove. A history trail offers interpretive panels.

The South Lake Union Historic Ships Wharf provides moorage for four time-honored vessels. The former 1941 Naval Reserve Building at the water's edge is the home of the Museum of History & Industry. The park is a great place to enjoy breezy water views on a sunny summer day. Gas Works Park is visible across the lake.

Picnicking is permitted.
