Seattle Chinese Garden is 1.75 mi. w. of I-5 exit 163A (southbound) or exit 163 (northbound) via West Seattle Freeway to the Delridge Way exit, then .5 mi. s. on Delridge Way to S.W. Oregon St./23rd Ave. S.W., then 1 mi. s.e. to South Seattle College, 6000 16th Ave. S.W. Built in the Sichuan style, the garden incorporates a traditional courtyard with a tiled roof gate and beautiful windows, woodwork, stone paving, and river rocks from China, all bearing symbolic meanings. Trees and plants indigenous to China include bamboo, pine, magnolia and a large tree peony garden.
