Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center

Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, within Cape Disappointment State Park, 3 mi. s.w. off US 101, traces the 8,000-mile trek embarked on and led by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. Exhibits portray the expedition party's medical treatment, food, entertainment, self-disciplinary measures and the contributions of the Chinook and other tribes toward the trip's success. Sketches by the explorers and artifacts collected on the expedition are displayed, and a multimedia presentation depicts the highlights of the journey. Also of interest are maritime and military exhibits.

Wear comfortable walking shoes; it's a 200-yard uphill trek to the center.
