Gardner Cave is 1 mi. w. on SR 31 to Metaline, then 11 mi. n. on Boundary Rd. to Crawford State Park. With 1,055 feet of passageway, it is reputed to be the third longest limestone cavern in the state. Visitors should have sturdy shoes and a jacket; the temperature is a constant 42 degrees Fahrenheit.
