Squaxin Island Tribe Museum, Library & Research Center is 6 mi. s. on US 101 to the SR 108 exit, then 1 mi. e. on Old Olympic Hwy., following signs to 150 S.E. K'wuh-Deegs-Altxw. The museum relates the natural and cultural history of the Squaxin Island people with displays of traditional hunting, fishing and cooking tools, projectile points, basketry and beadwork, leather pouches and contemporary art. Cultural presentations take place in the Talking Circle. The museum also has a library and research center.

Behind the museum is the Squaxin Island Veterans Memorial, where bronze paddles are inscribed with the names of Native Americans who have served in the U.S. military. A petroglyph dating back 600 years is on display.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
