Westport Maritime Museum is at 2201 Westhaven Dr. Housed in a former 1930s Coast Guard lifeboat station, the museum features displays of marine mammal skeletons as well as exhibits about life in a fishing port. Coast Guard and shipwreck history and a children's discovery room also are featured. A separate building houses a lens from the Destruction Island lighthouse. Eight rooms of displays cover such topics as ecology, shellfish, logging and cranberries.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
