Organ Cave is .5 mi. e. on SR 63 to 242 Organ Cave Dr. Ninety-minute walking tours of the cave, discovered in 1704, feature fossils, stalactites, stalagmites and a Civil War refinery used by the Confederates to produce saltpeter. More than 200 passages have yet to be mapped. The cave, left as unaltered as possible, has more than 45 miles of passageways. Condensed walking tours and exploration expeditions also are available.
