Sila Lydia Bast Bell Museum, 2 mi. e. of US 41/45 exit 57 at N128W18780 Holy Hill Rd., is in a restored 1870 building. More than 5,000 bells in the collection range in size from 1,063 pounds to just several ounces. Bells made of metals, wood, stone, ceramic and volcanic rock as well as bells from South America, Indonesia, China, Holland, Sweden, Africa and the United States are featured. The building also houses exhibits from the Germantown Volunteer Fire Co., including an 1871 fire engine. Also on the nine-acre property are the 1862 Christ Church Museum of Local History and the 1854 Valentine Wolf Haus, both German fachwerk buildings, a style reminiscent of English Tudor.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
