AAA Editor Notes
Museum of the Occidental Hotel is at 10 N. Main St. Founded in a tent in 1879, the Occidental quickly became one of the state’s most renowned hotels. Guests included Buffalo Bill Cody, Teddy Roosevelt and Calamity Jane. Reputedly the only fully restored frontier hotel in Wyoming, antique furnishings and Old World ambience reflect its original grandeur. The lobby’s embossed ceilings and the 1908 saloon’s original back bar are particularly noteworthy.

Food is available.
