MacBride Museum of Yukon History is at 1124 Front St. The museum offers an in-depth look at Yukon heritage with exhibits ranging from prehistoric mammals to the 1898 gold rush. Displays include Sam McGee's 1899 cabin, indigenous artifacts and sample minerals of the territory. On the grounds are a historic steam locomotive, a sleigh wagon and a giant nugget of copper weighing about 1,170 kilograms (2,580 lbs.).
