Alpine Village

Jasper
AAA Inspector 450: This is where I come and pretend I'm roughing it, especially in the luxury cabins!
Stay outside town amid towering spruce trees along the river in one of the really lovely, smaller cabins or one of the larger upscale units. A large outdoor hot tub is great for easing muscle pains.

AAA Inspector 16: Fashionable, sexy and cosmopolitan come to mind when I stay here. The abstract, hip design and posh public spaces make me feel like a high roller.
This full-service hotel offers a variety of room types, ranging from compact floor plans to expansive suites. All offer the signature modern style and plush bedding that you'd expect from the W brand. In some rooms the glass-walled shower is in full view of the bedroom, but there's a plush curtain to close if you prefer not to put on a show.

Fairmont Le Château Frontenac

Quebec
AAA Inspector 87: I love the history of this 1890s chateau. You can spend hours walking the facilities looking at archival photographs. Tours are even available.
Turrets and verdigris copper roofs distinguish this landmark château constructed in 1893. The hotel, particularly from the upper-floor rooms, have commanding views of the St. Lawrence River. Guest rooms vary in size and feature classically styled décor with luxury bed linens, a rain showerhead, custom bath amenities, and more. Executive rooms, located on the top floors, feature a modern take on classic décor and a private lounge with dedicated concierge staff and special amenities. The public areas have a myriad of intriguing details, as well as exhibits of 18th-century artifacts, such as wine bottles and china tea cups, recovered during hotel construction.

Toronto
AAA Inspector 16: The opulent lobby with its soaring ceilings and fine crown molding gives me a sense of grandness as I sip my English tea!
Part of the charm of this majestic beauty is that no two rooms are the same. Long winding corridors and rooms of varied size and shape give this hotel a distinctive character. If walls could talk, they would have some fine tales to tell about this historic landmark. Royalty, rock stars and an abundance of celebrities have all spent time here. The local tour bus even makes a stop out front to share some of the gossip. Even if you cannot stay, it is worth a visit to the impressive lobby for a traditional English afternoon tea.
